This place is just absolutely amazing. Every time I come to visit from Europe, I stop by at least once! The value for money is insane, I'd happily pay more and still be coming back! The food truck itself is nothing too fancy, but if we cared about that we wouldn't be having lunch at any food truck in general anyways. Now to the food - hot damn!! :) The jerk chicken especially is off the charts and all sides are really good too. I have been snacking through their menu and no matter what you get, you can't go wrong! Also, the portions are very generous. A dinner for one will usually feed two. Staff is friendly and down to earth. I just can't recommend this place enough! They definitely deserve all the great reviews they are getting.
I always pass this truck on my way to work and thought I’d give it a try for lunch today. Very delicious food and friendly service. I ordered the pulled pork and yellow rice lunch special.
Ah, yeah! Just try it, and you will know how good it is. I have noticed the jerk chicken has been getting smaller and smaller. On the bright side, the price has not gone up.
I live in Bradenton Sarasota area over 20 years this place is phenomenal the best barbecue I ever had.. I would come by every time when I get a chance if I'm working in that area
If you have a chance to stop by this place, DO IT!!! I drive by here every day and oh my goodness, it tastes as good as it smells!! Nothing like that smoked meat aroma. We got the pulled pork and Jamaican jerk chicken meals. There was so much food, 2 meals fed 4 people, and their house sauce was sooo delicious. I would go back just to get more of their sauce lol. Looking forward to going back and trying more menu items.
Tried the pulled pork, ribs, red beans and rice, plantains, potato salad and the baked beans. Everything was really good. And I have very high standards for food to taste good, so if I’m giving 5 stars you know the food is going to be tasty.
Try the chicken sandwich. Still good. Long wait on Saturdays, and the chicken sandwich had noticably less chicken on last Saturday visit - I will try again ..
You can smell the roast meat and the wood-fired barbecue from 300 yards before the intersection and it's hard to resist, my advice is: do not resist, go for it! The owner is a guy who knows how to cook, my favorite sandwich is with pulled pork and the quantity is very generous. Five stars. The only downside: there are no tables/chairs, either you eat standing or you take the food home
